All
sectional tournament entries must be submitted electronically to the Sectional Tournament
Managers by 4:00 p.m. on Monday, February 3, 2003. Do not use paper
forms from the school directory. Electronic entry forms and instructions are available
on the OHSAA web site: www.ohsaa.org.
Manager’s e-mail addresses are listed above. Each school will be permitted four
entries in each individual event and one relay entry in each relay event. Team scoring
will be kept but awards will not be presented at the Sectional Meet.
There will be no diving
competition at the Sectional Tournaments. All Diving competition will be held on
February 12 or 13, 2003 at the District Tournament. All diving entries must be
submitted on the Sectional Tournament entry form.
Athletes must be represented by
their assigned Faculty Representative for the entire duration of the warm-up and
tournament competition.A voluntary informational meeting for all new
coaches/representatives will be held on Wednesday, January 22, 2003 at the Upper
Arlington Natatorium at 7:30 p.m.
District Qualifiers: One
individual/relays in each event from each Sectional Tournament will automatically qualify
to the District Tournament. An additional twenty-five at-large individuals/relays from the
all Central, East and Southeast Sectional Tournaments will qualify to the District
Tournament.
District

State Qualifiers:The top
three individuals/relays in each swimming event and the top five to the State Tournament
at Canton. In addition, eleven at-large swimming qualifiers will be selected on the basis
of times recorded in all District Tournaments.
