  2008 OHSAA/CDAB Scholar-Athlete Scholarship Program

The Ohio High School Athletic Association established a scholar/athlete scholarship program in 1993.  Scholarships range from $1,000 to $2,000 and recipients are selected on a point system which rewards students for grade-point average, varsity letters earned, individual and team athletic honors, and an essay. 

OHSAA Scholarship recipients for 2007/08 are Claire Durkin, Worthington Kilbourne High School, Christian Anderson, Pleasant High School, Holly Tu, The Columbus Academy, Alexander West, Mount Gilead High School, Emma Swinford, Grandview Heights High School, Mark Elwell, Newark Catholic High School, and Michael Duffy, Olentangy High School.

CDAB Scholarship recipients for 2007/08 are, Jamie A. Barnum, “AAA”, Whetstone High School, Cody Beatty, “AAA”, Grove City High School, Erin Peirano, “AA”, Bloom Carroll High School, R.   Coaching Certification
The Ohio Department of Education requires each high school coach to receive Pupil Activity Supervisory Validation from the ODE office.  Click HERE to be directed to the ODE web site for an application, program information and to find pupil activity programs in your area.
