The Central District Athletic Board of the Ohio High School Athletic
Association is charged with the responsibility of organizing and conducting high school
boys and girls sectional and district tournaments.
District Board members are elected to six year terms by a vote of the high school
principals of the member schools in the Central District. Each classification
(A, AA, and AAA) has two members on
the nine member board. The additional three members are one female
representative, one ethinic minority representative and one 7th-8th
grade representative. One of the classification
representatives is appointed to the State Board of Control and serves a two
year term.
The District Board contracts with a Treasurer and Secretary to conduct the financial and
administrative responsibilities of the Board.
